Water-fed pole and squeegee at a Tampa Bay home with a pool view.
Which method fits your windows?
We use two methods and pick the right one for each window. Choose what you need to see how we clean it.
Interior windows
Method
Traditional method: wash the glass with an applicator and a mild solution, squeegee it dry and detail the edges by hand. Towels protect sills and floors.
Equipment
Applicator (sponge sleeve), squeegee, microfiber detail towels.
We avoid
Bringing a water-fed pole indoors or letting water run onto sills and walls.
First-floor exterior windows
Method
Traditional squeegee when the glass needs detail work or has heavy grime; water-fed pole when the frames also need cleaning and a spot-free rinse.
Equipment
Squeegee and applicator, or water-fed pole with brush and deionized pure water.
We avoid
Rinsing with tap water and leaving it to air-dry, which leaves mineral spots.
Second-story exterior windows
Method
Water-fed pole from the ground: brush the glass and frame with deionized pure water and rinse. It dries spot-free, so no squeegee is needed up high.
Equipment
Extendable carbon water-fed pole, soft brush, deionized pure water.
We avoid
Leaning ladders on screens, gutters or soft ground when the pole can reach.
Screens
Method
Remove each screen, brush and rinse it, let it drain and put it back.
Equipment
Soft brush, low-pressure rinse.
We avoid
Pressure washing screens, which stretches and tears the mesh.
Tracks and sills
Method
Vacuum or brush out debris, wipe the track and sill clean and dry.
Equipment
Detail brushes, vacuum, cloths.
We avoid
Flooding the tracks with water.
Hard water spots from sprinklers
Method
Test a small area first, then treat the mineral spots by hand to reduce them. Severe etching of the glass can be permanent; we assess it during the visit and tell you what to expect before treating.
Equipment
Hand tools and a treatment chosen for the glass after the test.
We avoid
Abrasive pads or steel wool that scratch glass, and promising a result before we see the glass.

Why windows get dirty in Tampa Bay
Sprinklers, pollen, humidity and salt air all leave their own film on Florida glass.
Hard water from sprinklers
Sprinkler overspray dries into mineral spots on the lower windows.
We test a small area, treat the spots and tell you what can come off before we do the rest.
Pollen and humidity
Spring pollen and humid air leave a film on the glass that rain alone does not rinse away.
Pure water and a soft brush outside, an applicator, squeegee and detail towels inside.
Salt air near the water
Homes near the bay and the Gulf collect a salt film on glass and frames.
The frames are rinsed along with the glass, not just the panes.
Squeegee or water-fed pole?
The traditional method, an applicator and a squeegee, is the best choice for interior glass and for windows that need detail work: it leaves a crisp finish right up to the frame. The water-fed pole pumps deionized pure water through a soft brush on an extendable pole. We use it for exterior glass, frames and second-story windows from the ground. Pure water has no minerals, so the glass dries without spots.

Questions about window cleaning in Tampa
Do you clean windows inside and outside?
Yes. You can book interior, exterior or both, and screens, tracks and sills are included in the full service.
Do you clean two-story homes?
Yes. We clean one- and two-story homes, and upper exterior windows are cleaned from the ground with a water-fed pole and deionized pure water.
What is a water-fed pole?
An extendable pole with a soft brush that pumps deionized pure water onto the glass. The water has no minerals, so the window dries without spots.
Can you remove hard water spots?
We treat them and reduce them. Light mineral spots usually improve a lot, but severe etching of the glass can be permanent, so we test a small area first.
Do I need to be home?
For interior cleaning, yes. For exterior-only service, usually not, as long as we can reach the windows and the gate.
How much does window cleaning cost?
Residential window cleaning starts at $125. The price depends on the number of windows, the floors and the service you choose, and we confirm it before any work starts.
