What Safety Harbor homes need most

The home in our photos, in 34695, backs onto a lake and has a screened pool cage with oaks close by. On a house like that, the gutter along the top of the cage is the one that fills: in October it was packed with oak leaves, as in the first photo. We pulled the leaves out by hand into a bag on the roof, so none of it fell onto the screen, then rinsed the gutter and flushed the downspouts.

On 26 October we soft washed the screened pool cage of another home in 34695. The screen panels had a coat of green algae, as in the second photo. A soft wash puts the cleaning solution on at low pressure and lets it work, so the mesh is never blasted; the next photo shows the cage after the rinse. On the same visit we pressure washed the brick paver deck inside the cage with a rotary surface cleaner, which leaves an even finish without wand stripes.

The windows on the same visit had a heavy film of dirt and water spots, the kind sprinklers and the humid air leave on glass that faces the lawn. We washed the outside of each pane; the last photos show one window before and another after.

In September we cleaned the whole outside of another home in 34695 in one visit: a soft wash of the walls, the patio, the driveway and front walkway with a rotary surface cleaner, the pool cage, and 53 feet of gutters. Two weeks later we restored ten of its window screens, and then cleaned its windows.

When to schedule cleaning in Safety Harbor

  • Gutters above a pool cage

Twice a year, in spring and fall, suits most homes with trees nearby. Under oaks, like the lakeside home in our photos, the gutter along the top of the cage can need it more often.

  • Pool cages near the water

We recommend cleaning a pool cage once or twice a year; cages near the water usually need the second cleaning.

  • Windows facing the lawn

Sprinklers and humid air leave spots on the glass that faces the lawn, and a regular schedule keeps them from building up. One Safety Harbor home already has its next window cleaning booked for the spring.

  • No travel fee in Pinellas County

Safety Harbor is inside our Pinellas County service area, so there is no travel fee. The minimum per visit is $125.
