We avoid
Replacing a frame that only needs new mesh.
Bent or broken frame
Method
A new aluminum frame cut to the window, with new corners, new spline and new mesh.
Equipment
Frame stock and corners cut to the opening.

Forcing a bent frame back into the window.
Screen doors

Hinged and sliding screen doors rescreened, and worn rollers on sliding doors replaced.

Why screens give out in Tampa Bay
Sun, sand and storms are hard on mesh, frames and rollers.
Torn mesh
Pets, kids, ladders and storms push through the mesh, and sun-faded mesh tears more easily.
New Phifer 18/14, the fiberglass grade made for pool and patio enclosures, which holds up better than lighter window mesh.
Bent frames
Hurricane shutters, ladders and pressure washer hoses kink the aluminum frames.
We rebuild the frame instead of forcing it back into the window.
Sliding doors that drag
Sand in the track wears the rollers until the door jumps off.
We replace the rollers when they need it, so the door slides again.
Recent screen jobs
- Safety Harbor (34695), September 2026: ten window screens rescreened, with new corners where the old ones had broken.
- New Port Richey (34653), August 2026: torn window and door screens replaced with new fiberglass mesh. The frames were sound, so we re-screened them instead of replacing them. Watch the job video.
Missing screens
If a window lost its screen, we make a new one to fit the opening: frame, corners, spline and mesh.

Torn screens get repaired here. Dirty screens get cleaned: every window cleaning we do includes the screens, the tracks and the sills.

Questions about screen repair in Tampa
Do you take the screens to a shop?
Most screens are rescreened at the house, on a work table we set up in the driveway or the garage.
Do I need new screens or just new mesh?
If the frame is straight and the corners hold, new mesh is enough and costs less. We check every frame before we quote.
Which mesh do you use?
Phifer 18/14 fiberglass as standard. Pet-resistant and no-see-um mesh are available on request.
What does the 90-day warranty cover?
Our labor. If spline we installed pops out or the mesh comes loose within 90 days, we come back and fix it.
