Solar panel care in Florida
Dust, pollen, bird droppings and leaves collect on solar panels. We clean panels with soft brushes on a water-fed pole and deionized pure water, without pressure. Here is how to look after them between cleanings.

Before any cleaning
- Read your panel manufacturer's cleaning instructions and warranty terms.
- Never use a pressure washer, abrasive pads or harsh chemicals on the panels.
Between cleanings
- Look at the panels from the ground every few weeks for droppings, leaves or heavy dust.
- Keep nearby branches trimmed so fewer leaves fall on the panels.
Stay safe
Do not walk on the panels or climb onto the roof to clean them. If they need cleaning, call a professional.
