Window Cleaning FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about our residential and commercial window cleaning and exterior services.

Pricing & Quotes

How do you calculate the price for window cleaning?
Pricing is based on several factors: window count and size, access and height, interior vs. exterior scope, screen and track cleaning, presence of paint/adhesives or hard-water stains, and overall condition. Share photos or a short video during the quote and we’ll provide an accurate estimate.
Do you offer free estimates? Can I get a quote online?
Yes—estimates are free. You can request an instant online estimate or a quick photo/video quote. On-site assessments are available for larger or more complex projects.
What’s included in your standard window cleaning service?
Our standard package includes crystal-clear glass cleaning (streak-free), light wipe of sills and frames, and a basic inspection for obvious issues (cracks, failed seals). Add-ons like screen washing, deep track detailing, paint/adhesive removal, hard-water stain treatment, skylights, and high windows are available as requested.
Is there a minimum service charge?
Yes, a minimum applies to cover travel time, setup, and professional labor. We’ll disclose it clearly in your quote before booking.
Do you charge per window or per pane?
We typically price by pane type and complexity (standard pane, French/multi-lite, sliders, picture windows, etc.). This ensures fair pricing for different window styles and difficulty.
Do you offer recurring maintenance plans or bundle discounts?
Yes. Many clients choose bi-annual or quarterly maintenance. We also bundle window cleaning with gutter cleaning or soft-wash/pressure-wash services. Ask about recurring/service-bundle savings.

Scheduling & Preparation

How do I book and how far in advance should I schedule?
Book online, call, or email. We typically schedule within standard business hours and offer priority slots for maintenance plan clients. Busy seasons (spring/fall) fill quickly—booking early is recommended.
Do I need to be home during the service?
For interior work, yes (or please arrange secure access). For exterior-only service, you don’t need to be home if we have safe access and any gates or pets are secured.
What should I do to prepare before you arrive?
Please move small furniture and breakables away from windows, raise blinds where possible, unlock screens/gates, and secure pets. If heavy items need moving, let us know in advance so we can plan safely.
How long does window cleaning take?
Duration depends on the number and type of windows and the selected add-ons. A typical single-family home can range from 1.5–4 hours. We’ll provide an estimate with your quote.

Process & Methods

What cleaning methods do you use (squeegee vs. water-fed pole)?
We use traditional hand tools (mop & squeegee) for interior and detail work, and purified water with water-fed poles for higher exterior glass. Pure water leaves a spot-free finish without soaps, protecting landscaping and frames.
Do you clean screens, tracks, and frames?
Yes. Screen washing and track detailing are optional add-ons. Standard service includes a light wipe of sills/frames; deep track detailing and screen restoration can be added on request.
Can you remove hard-water stains, paint, or construction debris?
Yes—these are specialized services. We use safe techniques (professional acids, pads, and approved blades) to remove mineral spots, paint overspray, silicone, and stickers. Pricing depends on severity and square footage.
We only use glass-safe tools and follow industry best practices to avoid scratching tempered or coated glass.
Do you service skylights, French panes, storm windows, or high windows?
Yes. We handle multi-lite French panes, skylights, transoms, and most high windows accessible by ladder or water-fed pole. For unusual access (e.g., over fragile roofs), we’ll assess and confirm safe methods first.
Are your products eco-friendly and safe for pets and plants?
Yes. Our standard solutions are biodegradable, and our purified-water method uses no detergents on exterior glass. We take care around landscaping and pet areas.

Safety & Property Care

How do you protect floors, furniture, and landscaping?
We use drop cloths, boot covers, and protective pads indoors, and we manage hoses and ladders carefully outdoors. We avoid chemical runoff and protect delicate plants during exterior cleaning.
What about weather? Do you work in rain or high winds?
Light rain usually doesn’t affect results. For severe weather or high winds, we reschedule for safety. If weather impacts the finish within a short window, contact us and we’ll make it right per our satisfaction policy.
Are you insured? Do you follow ladder/OSHA safety?
We carry liability coverage and follow ladder and job-site safety best practices. Safety for your property, our team, and your family is a top priority.

Aftercare & Guarantees

Do you guarantee a streak-free finish?
Yes. If you notice any missed spots or streaks within 48 hours, let us know—we’ll schedule a prompt touch-up.
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
Most homes benefit from exterior cleaning 2–4 times per year and interior 1–2 times per year. Coastal, high-traffic, and heavily landscaped areas may require more frequent service.
Will rain make my windows dirty right away?
Clean glass tends to shed rain without spotting. Dust and pollen cause spots—rain mainly reveals existing residue. If you see issues after a storm, reach out and we’ll review options.

Payments & Policies

What payment methods do you accept and when is payment due?
We accept major cards and electronic payments. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of service.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Short-notice changes may incur a fee. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details.
Do you offer invoices or net terms for commercial clients?
Yes. Commercial accounts can be set up with scheduled service, invoicing, and approved payment terms. Contact us to discuss your facility’s requirements.

Other Exterior Services

What’s the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high pressure to remove dirt from hard surfaces (concrete, pavers). Soft washing combines low-pressure water with detergents for siding, stucco, and delicate surfaces to avoid damage. We’ll choose the safest, most effective method for each surface.
Do you clean gutters and downspouts?
Yes. We remove debris from gutters and downspouts and flush them as needed. Gutter cleaning pairs well with exterior window cleaning for a full refresh.
Do you offer glass sealing or hydrophobic protection?
Upon request, we can apply protective treatments that help repel water and reduce buildup, keeping glass cleaner between visits.

Service Area

Which areas do you serve?
We serve the greater Tampa Bay area. For projects outside our core radius, a travel fee may apply—ask us for availability.
